Fish Biologist – Calgary Office

Applied Aquatic Research Ltd. provides a full range of highly specialized services focusing on fisheries management, disturbance and development concerns facing aquatic ecosystems in Alberta and B.C. We are seeking a Fish Biologist with technical experience to be responsible for all aspects of managing these types of projects including project cost estimates and budget tracking, developing field work plans, managing and leading crews in the field, maintaining safety standards and report writing.

Qualifications: M.Sc. with 5 years of fisheries experience or a B.Sc. with 7 to 10 year’s industry experience. Must enjoy working with people, have an enthusiastic and energetic personality, excellent writing skills, a high fitness level, and personal flexibility to be in the field in all seasons. A valid driver’s license is required and experience with boat / quad / snow mobile / trailer operations is beneficial.
