This is not a “parking lot-based” training
course!
Our professional instructors will train personnel to operate quads
in a safe and responsible manner over challenging terrain and variable
environments. This course is taught in rugged field conditions
to provide realistic training for outdoor situations encountered
frequently during field work. Individuals operating quads
will have an improved understanding of practical techniques and
improved risk management post training.
Topics in this full day course include:
- WCB, OH&S and Alberta Highway Traffic Act
- Do’s and Don’ts of ATV driving
- Loading and unloading quads onto trailer or truck box
- Routine inspection and maintenance tips
- Electric and manual shifting with and without loads
- Climbing, descending and crossing side hills
- Transporting loads
- Proper towing techniques
- Proper winching techniques
- Minimizing environmental effects
Required safety gear:
- Helmet (can be provided for $15)
- Sturdy over-the-ankle boots, pants/jeans, long sleeve shirt/jacket,
gloves, safety glasses
Course fee:
$385 + GST per person
